Discover New York State Apples
Apple-lovers choose New York apples, not just for their extraordinary flavor, but also because they crave the “experience” of New York apples. Why? Because there’s nothing like picking your own apple in a pick-your-own orchard, finding that special heirloom variety at your local farmers’ market, or selecting a delicious New York variety at the grocery store.
Located at Cornell AgriTech in Geneva, N.Y., the Cornell apple breeding program is the oldest in the U.S. (since the 1890s) and has released many favorite varieties, including Cortland, Empire, Jonagold, Macoun and new releases SnapDragon®, RubyFrost®, Pink Luster®. The program focuses on developing high-quality, disease-resistant, and delicious apples for NY growers and beyond.
Just like our fruit, we want your experience to be sweet.
