Farm History

Meet our father, grandfather and great grandfather - Leonard Clarke. He is the "L.M. CLARKE" on our apple bins. The 5th generation Clarke who farmed this land before us.

FARM ETIQUETTE

Grandpa says Pick some fruit, taste a few, fill a box, don't fill you!

Leonard says

We’re so glad you’ve come to enjoy fruit picking with us!

We kindly ask that you refrain from eating fruit while in the orchard.

Our fruit is delicious and hard to resist——but the fruit on the trees is how we support our farm, our families and helps us to keep doing this year after year.

Thank you for understanding and helping us keep this special place thriving for the next generation.

Please read.

Please email us at info@prospecthillorchards.com

if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Everyone must either make a reservation before or at farm.  It is quicker to do beforehand but no worries if you have not. We can quickly check you in when you arrive. A reservation is good for  a 2 hour time period.

Yes. There is a $5 / person fee.

You only need to purchase one ticket per person per day.  You are welcome to pick what we have in season that day.

Tasting one is fine, But eating your way through the orchard is not fine.

That is actually stealing from our hard labor. And we work too hard to just give our fruit away. Thank you for understanding.

Enjoy your Visit!

Choose comfortable, sporty clothes and flat, athletic shoes. Be mindful of the weather. It can be cool in the morning and the grass is often wet with dew. By afternoon, the grass dries and the temperatures usually rise.

Cash and Credit Cards (with chip only) are accepted.

We provide a limited supply of ladders, so please share them and use them safely to reach high fruits.

We strive to give our customers top quality fruit at honest prices, all with a friendly atmosphere. All of our fruits are grown under a low spray management program called Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

Please be aware that ticks are a growing issue in the Hudson Valley and we encourage you to wear tick repellent and check for ticks at the end of your visit.
